hey everyone! I just came back from a poplocking contest .. it was friggin tight as hell!! they had some of the top poplockers in the world that night in hollywood.. there was a old school popper called One Arm Bandit.. had the crowd in his hands for a good 10 minutes of him just dancing.. at one point he was just in a pose, sitting in the pocket, just feeling the funk.. spellbounding..I think I learn more about animation from watching this old school dancer do his thing then some lectures at calarts..
here's some doodles I did after comming back from the event.. The guy in the orange was a guy called Robot Prince.. one of the original boppers (robot style popping) in LA back in the late 70s early 80s.. the other guy is one arm bandit posing in a low rider pose..

hey everyone! thanks for the comments.. that event was called how tha west was won.. it was held at the henry fonda theatre.. they have some clips on youtube actually but not of the OG's like robot prince and one arm bandit.. type in salah and how tha west was won.. he was the winner at that event.. ^ ^
